Live-In Rotational Nanny – Spanish Speaking

West Village, New York, NY | 7 Days On / 7 Days Off | $100,000–$120,000 + Benefits

A warm and private family in Manhattan is seeking an experienced Spanish-speaking Rotational Nanny to care for three young children. The family maintains a bilingual household and values Spanish-language communication and cultural traditions. Professional fluency in Spanish is required to support the children's language environment and communicate effectively within the household.

This is a long-term opportunity for a highly organized, proactive, and experienced childcare professional who is comfortable working in a fully staffed private home. The ideal candidate has successfully cared for multiple young children simultaneously and understands the importance of preparation, communication, consistency, and teamwork.

The Ideal Candidate

• 10+ years of professional nanny experience, or 5+ years of substantial experience in a comparable private-home childcare role
• Demonstrated experience caring for three young children simultaneously
• Previous rotational nanny experience, particularly a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule, is strongly preferred
• Professional fluency in Spanish
• Highly organized, structured, efficient, and punctual
• Naturally proactive and able to anticipate the family's needs several steps ahead
• Skilled at working backward from appointments, school schedules, activities, and departure times to ensure the children are prepared early and without rushing
• Able to retain instructions, take effective notes, establish systems, and consistently apply household preferences and routines
• Comfortable managing calendars and planning ahead for clothing, bags, meals, activities, school needs, travel, and other child-related requirements
• Calm, confident, and able to keep children on schedule with clear and age-appropriate direction
• Observant and able to recognize what needs to be done without constant direction
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including detailed and accurate handovers
• A collaborative team member who understands that strong preparation and communication directly support the success of the entire household team
• Comfortable working in a structured, fully staffed household with multiple caregivers and household professionals
• Receptive to feedback and committed to maintaining established systems and routines
• Physically capable of performing the active duties required to care for three young children

The family is particularly interested in candidates who can provide strong professional references demonstrating punctuality, organization, planning, anticipation, communication, accountability, discretion, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive, hands-on care for three young children throughout the working rotation
• Plan and coordinate age-appropriate activities, outings, and routines
• Manage school, appointments, activities, and daily transitions
• Prepare children for appointments, activities, travel, and departures
• Prepare children's clothing, bags, meals, and activity supplies
• Support children's routines, development, and age-appropriate independence
• Maintain a consistent and structured daily routine
• Children's laundry and light housekeeping related to the children
• Coordinate closely with the co-nanny and other household staff
• Provide thorough written and verbal handovers at the beginning and end of each rotation
• Drive the children as needed
• Travel domestically and internationally with the family as required
• Maintain a calm, professional, and discreet presence within the home

Schedule

7 Days On / 7 Days Off

• Tuesday evening through the following Tuesday evening
• Live-in during the working rotation
• Private accommodations provided during the working week
• Off-week is live-out
• Downtime is incorporated into the schedule when the children are sleeping or otherwise engaged

Household

The family has a fully staffed household, including a chef, housekeepers, weekend childcare support, and a co-nanny. The parents are active and engaged and are looking for a nanny who can become a trusted, long-term member of the childcare team.

The family also spends time at a second residence on Long Island, and the nanny should be comfortable working between locations as needed.

Qualifications

• Professional Spanish fluency required
• Extensive professional childcare experience
• Experience caring for multiple young children
• Valid driver's license and confidence driving children
• Current passport and ability to travel internationally
• Strong professional references
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a larger household team
• Commitment to discretion, professionalism, and confidentiality

Compensation & Benefits

• $100,000 - $120,000+ annual salary , commensurate with experience
